這首歌的調調我真的很喜歡
他是以一種像是嘆息的語調描出這首歌的編框
整首歌一直有"叮叮"聲...
感覺好像歌聲敲打著以絕望而空心的感情
一開始他以嘆息憂傷的感覺開頭,
後來又有點像控訴的感覺...
其實他一直說"Cheers Darlin'"有點像是在嘲諷...
接著也給人一種悔不當初的感覺,
因為-"I should have kissed you..."
之後又以疑問詢問的方式問"What am I, Darin'?"
接著以肯定的語氣訴說已經變質的感情
在間奏間所使用的樂器及旋律
給人一種黑白灰與咖啡色的回憶
節奏間穿插的女生合音與大提琴與Damien Rice的輕語
完美的營造出Damien Rice式的氣氛
這首歌的歌詞我非常的喜歡
他用了很多比喻...
像是three cigarettes to smoke my tears away;
我很喜歡他的Smoke the tears away很觸人心弦
之後的這段:

我也很喜歡,因為他產生了兩段對比
第一段,他以a whisper in your ear, a piece of your cake
顯示出Damien以卑微的姿態控訴著對方
因為a whisper and a piece of cake皆是不怎麼重要的形容
之後的the boy you can fear, your biggest mistake
雖也是在控訴對方的背叛
但是以比較強硬的姿態,因為他形容自己為the boy that one can fear
